In Loving Memory of Nancy Mudry
Nancy Mudry, a radiant soul and beloved wife, mother, sister, aunt, and abuela, passed away peacefully on June 24, 2025, at the age of 81, surrounded by the love of her family.
Proud of her Cuban American heritage, Nancy carried the vibrant spirit, resilience, and warmth of her culture throughout her life. As a young girl, she left Cuba through Operation Peter Pan, arriving in the United States as a minor in search of freedom and opportunity. That courage and strength-born from leaving everything behind to build a new life-shaped the woman she would become: compassionate, joyful, and fiercely devoted to those she loved.
She was known for her boundless energy, joyful heart, and the way her laughter could fill a room. Whether dancing, sharing stories, or simply being present with those she loved, Nancy had a gift for bringing people together. Her presence made others feel welcome, seen, and deeply loved. She was an amazing cook. She proudly owned and operated a travel agency in New York, helping others explore the world while building a meaningful career.
She lived with unwavering kindness, always putting others before herself. Compassionate and generous, she offered comfort and support without hesitation. Her love was steady and unconditional-an anchor for her family and a light to everyone who knew her.
Family was the center of Nancy's world. She adored her children, cherished her grandchildren, and found pure joy in the presence of her great-grandchildren. She is survived by her devoted husband, Edward, with whom she shared 55 years of marriage; her sons, Edward and Dave; her grandchildren, Albrei and Azteyn, and his wife, Amy; and her great-granddaughters, Ava, Audrey, and Adaline. Her family will carry forward her legacy of love, strength, and kindness.
A family service celebrating Nancy's life will be held on July 7, 2025, at Craig Memorial Park.
Though she may be gone from our sight, Nancy will never be gone from our hearts. Her spirit lives on in every joyful memory, every burst of laughter, and every act of love inspired by her.

"He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death' or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away."
