Nancy Jane Blevins Osborne a beloved mother and grandmother passed away peacefully in her home on April 5, 2025 in Newnan Georgia. Born on July 27, 1940 to Jack and Daisy West of Dungannon Virginia.
She was known for her kindness to her family and friends. She had a very compassionate heart and helped everyone she could throughout her life. She found joy in teaching and retired from the Virginia Head Start system in 1997. She opened a restaurant in 1997 called Granny;s Grill. It was a very popular place in Dungannon in the late 1990s. She had a tenacious spirit and was a pioneer in the Southwest Virginia Coal mining system. She was first female coal miner in 1978. In later years she developed a passion for travel and traveled the world on Delta Airlines, visiting 6 continents and many countries.
Nancy is survived by her son James Blevins-Garcia, German Garcia, Scott Shea,daughter Judy Archer, Lacy Sweeny, special granddaughter, several grandchildren and great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her first husband Earl Monroe Blevins, second husband John Osborne, and her daughter Cynthia Blevins Turner. A celebration of life will be held in the Summer of 2025 in her favorite city London England.
