Nancy A. Pearson

Rutland, ND: The funeral service for Nancy A. Pearson will be 1:00 p.m. Saturday, November 8, 2025 at Nordland Lutheran Church of Rutland. Rev. Julie Johnson and Rev. Janelle Hansen will officiate the service. Following the service burial will take place at the Nordland Cemetery.

Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church.

Nancy Ann Pearson, was born April 12, 1949 in Britton, SD to Marvin and Audrey Pearson. She grew up and helped on the family farm just south of Forman. She graduated from Sargent Central in 1967. After graduation she moved to Minneapolis, joining her sisters, Maxine and Louise. She got a job working for Lutheran Brotherhood, where she enjoyed the next 36 years. While in the cities, Nancy enjoyed bowling and camping with her friends, with whom she shared a lifelong friendship. Nancy also enjoyed extensive travel, including visits to Norway, Hawaii and Alaska.

She moved to Fargo, ND in 2016 to be closer to family. She was actively involved in family news, enjoyed time with her nieces and nephews, and attending every family event she was able. Nancy also enjoyed knitting, especially prayer shawls, reading, listening to music, and going to the casino. She was an avid Vikings football and Twins baseball fan.

Nancy was first diagnosed with cancer in 2007. She passed away peacefully at Eventide of Fargo on November 4, 2025. Nancy had a great sense of humor, a beautiful smile and loved to laugh. She will be missed by all who knew her.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Marvin and Audrey Pearson; sister, Maxine Pearson; and two bothers-in-law, Skip Hauger and Joel Harms.

She is survived by her sisters, Louise Hauger and Alayne McKay (Rob McClure); brother Daniel (Trish) Pearson; and numerous nieces and nephews.
