Nancy Jo Phillips

Nancy Jo Phillips, age 87, of Clinton, passed away on Wednesday, February 25, 2025, at Methodist Medical Center. Born on March 23, 1938, in the Frost Bottom community, she was the cherished daughter of the late Lonas and Elthea Marie Duncan.

Nancy was a devoted member of Grace Pointe Baptist Church, where she served as a pianist for many years. Her commitment to her faith and her church community was evident through her music and fellowship.

Nancy will be fondly remembered for her vibrant and joyful personality, which brought light to those around her. She had a genuine love for others, always showing kindness and compassion to friends, family, and her church family. Her musical talents were a special gift to her church, enriching worship services with her dedication as a pianist. In addition to her love for music, Nancy was an avid University of Tennessee sports fan. She also found great enjoyment in watching game shows, a pastime that brought her much happiness and laughter.

In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her grandson, Shawn Lonas Suttles, and her daughter, Robbie Roberts.

She is survived by her sons, Johnny Suttles & wife Donna and Joey Woods & fiancé Mindy Kampel; grandchildren, Amanda Robinson & husband Eric, Cooper Woods, Colton Woods, Jordan Roberts, Alex Roberts, Melissa McCoy, and Matthew Adkinson; 6 great-grandchildren; special friends, Jewell Bray, Donna Seibers, and Bobbie Stokes; along with a host of other family members.

The family will receive friends from 2:00-4:00 pm, Saturday, March 7, 2026, at Holley Gamble Funeral Home. Her Celebration of Life service will follow in the chapel with Rev. Marvin Seibers and Rev.
