Nancy Ann (Garrison) Polacek, 88, of Palermo, NY, passed away peacefully on Friday, September 12, 2025, at home with her children and grandchildren by her side. Born in Morristown, NY, she was a daughter to the late John and Margaret (Brough) Garrison. Nancy was an avid reader, enjoyed gardening and canning. She loved camping and traveling all over the country with her husband, Steve. Nancy was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She will always be remembered for her dedication and love for her family. Nancy was predeceased by her husband, Stephen Polacek; her daughter, Barbara (Kastler) King; her son, Stephen Polacek IV; infant daughter; and her grandson, Jeremiah Edward Kastler.
She will be forever loved and missed by her three children, Bonnie (Robert) Loforte, Deborah (Rodney Will) Firenze, Ronald (Elizabeth “Gidget”) Kastler; her son in law, Kevin King; her brother, William (Sally) Garrison; 35 grandchildren/great-grandchildren/great-great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be from 11:00 am – 1:00 pm on Thursday, September 18 at Foster Funeral Home, 910 Fay Street, Fulton with a service to immediately follow at 1:00 pm. Burial will be in Roosevelt Cemetery, State Route 49, Schroeppel. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Make-A-Wish CNY, 5005 Campuswood Dr, East Syracuse, NY 13057, in Nancy’s memory.
