Nancy A. Potteiger

Nancy A. Potteiger, 96, passed away on Tuesday, April 1, 2025, in New Kent, Virginia with family at her side. Born on March 27, 1929, in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, she was the daughter of Dale and Kathryn Layson and the widow of Edward J. Potteiger. Nancy is survived by her son, Carl Richard Potteiger and daughter, Janice (Potteiger) Allmon, and sister, Madelyn (Layson)) Kase. She was preceded in death by her brother, Lester Layson. She leaves behind five grandchildren, Jen, Jill, Jaclyn, Melissa, and David, twelve great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. They were all beloved and brought her great joy. After Nancy graduated from Camp Hill High School, she worked as an artist illustrator and photography lab assistant. She and Edward were married September. 4, 1948 and lived in the Harrisburg area for over seventy years before moving to Florida then Virginia. Nancy loved reading, going on shopping sprees, telling stories, and taking family vacations, She will always hold a special place in the hearts of those she loved. There will be a private Celebration of Life on Sunday, June 1, 2025, in Camp Hill, PA.
