Nancy Rambow Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Hahn Funeral Home on Apr. 26, 2025.
Nancy Ann Rambow, a devoted mother, grandmother, and sister, passed away peacefully on April 24, 2025, in Elkhart, IN. Nancy was born on September 23, 1950, in Mishawaka, IN, to the late Gerald and Augusta (Dujardin) Carner.
Nancy's professional life provided comfort and assistance as a medical assistant in a local doctor's office. Her influence extended beyond her work as she inspired both colleagues and patients with her kindhearted nature.
Nancy had a deep love for gardening and spending time outdoors, especially in the spring-her favorite season. She found joy in the blooming of daffodils and the lilies in her garden, and she cherished the fresh, earthy scent of a greenhouse. She also loved peaceful walks through the woods, always keeping an eye out for her favorite trees-redbuds and dogwoods-and basking in the warmth of the sunshine. One of her hobbies was painting flag signs and donating them to Veterans. She also really loved baking-cookies, pies, cakes-but cherry kuchen was her specialty. She had a soft spot for her Golden Retrievers, but perhaps her greatest love of all was her family. She adored babies, treasured sweet kisses from her grandchildren, and nothing made her happier than hearing the words, "I love you, Grammy."
She is survived by her husband, George Rambow, her children Angie (Chip) Goodwyn, Jennifer (Kenny) McGee, Jeff (Lorrie) Hobkirk, and Ryan (Katie) Hobkirk, her adored 17 grandchildren, and her brother Ron (Nancy) Carner. Nancy's unwavering loving presence will be profoundly missed by all who knew her.
She is preceded in death by her parents Gerald and Augusta.
"Nancy's family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to Karley, Brooke, and Loretta for the kindness, compassion, and care they showed to Nancy. Your support meant the world to her and to all of us."
Family and friends may call on Thursday, May 1, 2025, from 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM, in Hahn Funeral Home. Funeral Services will take place on Thursday at 1:00 PM, also in the Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery Mishawaka.
