My wife was my princess and an angel. She was kind, beautiful and many times
left me breathless. She loved to dance and sing and loved her children
and grandchildren. So, it broke my heart to lose you, but you didn't go alone,
part of me went with you, the day God took you home.
God knew that you were suffering, he knew you were in pain,
And he knew you would never be well on earth again.
He put his loving arms around you, and whispered "come to me."
With tearful eyes I stayed with you, as I watched you fade away.
And even though we all loved you; we could not make you stay.
A kind and golden heart stopped beating,
a loving and caring person now I laid to rest.
God broke our hearts to prove, he only takes the best.
So now you rest in peace upon the lap of Earth,
For this is truth and wisdom: to love, to live, to dream,
To take what Fate, or God, may give you, to never ask why,
To have, -- to hold, to hope, -- and, in time, -- let go.
But, as long as the sun shines the wind blows the rain falls
You will live on inside of me forever for that is all my heart knows.
