Nancy Rubio Obituary

Mrs. Rubio was born April 1, 1944, to the late Paul and Twilla Mink. She married her sweetheart and love of her life, Alfonso "Al" Rubio, and started their family. Nancy worked for over 25 years at Bryce Hospital as a Pharmacy Technician. Later in her career, she became an LPN, working as a nurse, until her retirement.
Nancy loved her family! Being a wife, mother and "Maw Maw" to her grandchildren, gave her much joy. She was always ready for family gatherings, loved holidays and loved being present in the lives of her children and grandchildren. She also loved crafting and trips to the beach. A loving wife to her adoring husband, Nancy was a wonderful cook, with Mexican Cornbread being among her most favorite dishes to share! She also enjoyed attending gospel singings with Al for as long as her health allowed.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Rubio was preceded in death by her sons Tim Rubio and Sean Rubio, brothers Charles Mink, James Mink and Tommy Mink, as well as sisters Lilly Mae Mink, Joan Hammonds and Molly Spencer.
She is survived by her husband of 62 years, Alfonso "Al" Rubio; son Chris Rubio (Barbara); grandchildren: David Rubio (Jennifer), Valarie Atkinson (Braxton), Jackson Bibby, Brittni Anglin (Josh), Grey Anglin, Matt Latham, Tyler Latham, Kristen Rubio and Izzy Rubio; as well as a host of nieces, nephews and extended family.
Serving as Active Pallbearers will be Ronny Telle, Greg Rubio, Jackson Bibby, David Rubio, Larry Engelbert, Braxton Atkinson, Tim Mitchell and Raymond Hammonds. The family wishes to recognize Nancy's special friends throughout her life: Maxine Rubio, Teresa Harless and Cindy Grimsley; as well as her special cat, that came into her life, at just the right time, "Squeaky" Rubio.
