Nancy Ellen Scanlon, 60, of Willowick, Ohio passed away Monday, September 15, 2025, at the David Simpson Hospice House in Cleveland from complications of cervical cancer. She was born August 20, 1965, in Cleveland Heights, Ohio to parents Terrance and Maryann Dearden. She received her GED and later married Mark Scanlon and together they had three children before their marriage ended. Nancy worked as a dry-cleaning manager and in her free time enjoyed scrapbooking, knitting and was a history buff. She is survived by her children, Eric (Amber), Shane (Angela) and Nikki; grandchildren, Seth, Zoe, Ren, Grace, Madelynn and Maci; siblings, Terrance, Barbara, Michael and Cynthia. Nancy was preceded in death by her parents, Terrance and Maryann Dearden and brother, Thomas Dearden. A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, October 19, 2025, from 12pm-3pm at the Environmental Learning Center, 7250 Alexander Road, Concord Twp., Ohio 44077. In place of flowers, contributions can be made to Hospice of the Western Reserve, 17876 St. Clair Avenue, Cleveland, Ohio 44110 online at www.hospicewr.org Lake Erie Cremation and Funeral Services, 1500 Harpersfield Road, Geneva, Ohio assisted the family with arrangements. www.LakeErieCrematory.com
