Nancy Scheffer

Nancy Scheffer, 83, passed away Monday, November 20, 2017. Born in Fort Wayne, Nancy enjoyed caring for her family as a homemaker and spending time with her family and friends at Crooked Lake. Her ability to listen with empathy and give wise counsel will be missed. Surviving are her children, Elizabeth Krauskopf of Fort Wayne, Michael Scheffer of Sarasota, FL, and Jane (Christopher) Miller of Fort Wayne; 9 grandchildren, Kerry (Patrick) Miller, Ryan Krauskopf, Matthew, Joseph, and Sarah Scheffer, Luke, Emily, Caroline, and John Miller; and 1 great-grandson, Preston; and her sister, Ann (Willard) Doehrman of Indianapolis, IN. Nancy was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years in 2012, James Scheffer; and her parents, Harold and Beatrice McMillan. Mass of Christian Burial is 11:00 am, Friday, November 24, 2017 at St. Jude Catholic Church, 2130 Pemberton Dr with calling 2 hours prior beginning at 9:00 am. Entombment in Catholic Cemetery.
