Nancy Rose Schouest a cherished wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother passed away peacefully on June 13 of 2025 at the age of 83.

Nancy was born in Chackbay Louisiana on December 30, 1941 to the late Philip and Justine Rose. She was a devoted wife of 43 years to the late Aurestile (Horace) Schouest. She will be remembered for her kindness, love strength and generosity. Nancy loved cooking and feeding everyone in the neighborhood. She would help anyone in need and never met a stranger.  Her greatest joy was being Maw Maw to her grandchildren.

Nancy is preceded in death by her brother Robert Joseph Rose “Radar” and her son Dale Tabor Sr.

Nancy is survived by her siblings Gordon Rose, Laura Rose Adams, Norene Rose Braud, Adril Morrell, her son’s, Hedrick Tabor (Medina Tabor), Troy Schouest (Nancy B. Schouest),Grandchildren, Chelsea Tabor Gstohl, Dale Tabor Jr., Jordan Schouest, Misty Tabor, Tiffany Tabor, 6 Great grandchildren, and 1 great great grandchild, daughter in law Sylvia Tabor and many friends who became family along the way.

A memorial service will be held at Mothe’s funeral home in Harvey on Friday June 27, 2025 from 9am-11am with mass to follow.
