Nancy Carol Shannon, 71, of Canton, Ohio, passed away on Friday, March 31, 2023, at Cleveland Clinic Hospital of natural causes. She was born January 5, 1952, in Canton to the late Herbert B. and Ailene N. (Kidd) Chaney. Nancy was a 1970 graduate of Lincoln High School and worked in the laundry and housekeeping industry for nearly 18 years. She was a member of the Northwest Church of Christ and was known for her loving attitude and social connections. Her favorite pastimes were working on puzzles, watching the Hallmark Channel, and socially connecting with her family. She loved spending quality time with her relatives and her best friends were her siblings.
Preceded in death by her beloved husband of 46 years, Ronald F. Shannon, and is survived by her children Julie (Paul), Jen, and Ron, along with her three grandchildren - Anthony, Armand, and Christopher. She was preceded in love by the memory of her late siblings, the late Bobby, Larry, Joanne, Nina, and Donna, and remembered by her surviving siblings, Shirley, Char, and Sandy, and a large family of many nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, April 22, 2023, from 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm in the multi-purpose room at Northwest Church of Christ, located at 3904 38th St NW, Canton, OH 44718. The Memorial service will also be held Live via Facebook for those not able to attend in person at www.facebook.com/carol.shannon.1806.
Cremation services will be provided by Adams Mason Funeral Home & Crematory prior to the memorial service. There will be no viewing.
