Nancy Reed Shepherd, 76, of Stevensville passed away Tuesday, Dec. 23, 2025, at her home.
Private burial will take place at Riverview Cemetery in St. Joseph. Donations in Nancy's name may be made to the American Cancer Society. Arrangements are entrusted to Starks & Menchinger Chapel, St. Joseph. Those wishing to sign Nancy's memory book online may do so at www.starks-menchinger.com.
Nancy was born Oct. 14, 1949, in Phoenix, Ari., to Robert T. and Clara J. Reed. After moving to St. Joseph, she graduated from St. Joseph High School, Class of 1968, and later from Jordan College in 1992. On April 20, 1970, she married Michael K. Shepherd in St. Joseph at the First Congregational Church.
Nancy worked as a sales person for security system companies until her retirement. In her free time, she enjoyed listening to music – especially Elvis and The Beatles, crafts and knitting, flower gardening, caring for her canine companions, but most of all, the time spent with her family.
Nancy is survived by her husband Mike; her children: Scott Shepherd of Monticello, Ind., Shawn (Leroy) Jackson of Kalamazoo; three grandchildren: Tyler Jackson, Madison Shepherd, Leronte Jackson; her sister Jackie L. Shuey of Benton Harbor; her nephew Jason Hoge and her niece Jenna Shuey. She was preceded in death by her parents.

Mama Nancy you were the most amazing person I have had in my life. I will miss you and seeing your comments on my Facebook. I grew up with you in my life. You never failed to support me. Love you. My thoughts are with Mike, Scott and the family.
