Nancy Dominick Sherwood

Nancy Dominick Sherwood, age 85, lifelong resident of Knoxville, passed into the presence of her Savior and Lord Jesus Christ where her faith became sight on Thursday, August 28, 2025. Nancy was an active member of Cedar Springs Presbyterian Church where she loved all her time and relationships in the Covenant Class and in the church. She met the love of her life, Bobby, at the Young Life Frontier Ranch Camp in Colorado. Nancy graduated from West High School with her dear friends that are still getting together. She then attended the University of Tennessee and was a member of Delta Delta Delta sorority. Nancy will be remembered for her fervent prayer life and her amazing ability to memorize scripture. She spent most of her life caring for her family and many groups of friends, yet her first love was her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Nancy was preceded in death by her husband, Bobby Sherwood; parents, Margaret and Charles Dominick; in-laws, Lillian and Jack Sherwood; brother-in-law, Don Sherwood. She is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Beth and Greg Helton of Katy, TX, and Meg and Terry Troutman of Knoxville, granddaughters and grandsons-in-law, Emily and Justin Patzig, Elizabeth and Chris Hahn, Abby and Andy Fennell, and Calli and Brett Drummey; nine great-grandchildren; sister-in-law Pat Sherwood, sister and brother-in-law, Charlotte and Danny Anderton; her nieces and nephews, and many dear friends. A Celebration of Nancy's life will be held at 10:00 am on Saturday, September 6 at Cedar Springs Presbyterian Church. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 9:00 – 10:00 am. The interment will be held at Highland Memorial Cemetery on Saturday at 1:00 pm .
