Nancy C. Sparklin

Nancy C. Sparklin, 79, of Lewes, DE, and formerly of Wallingford and Aston, PA, passed peacefully in her sleep on February 2, 2025. Born in Roxborough, PA, she was the daughter of the late Harold (Marie) and Harriet (Geiger) Tschoepe, and the wife of the late James E. Sparklin.
Nancy was a proud member of the first graduating class of Sun Valley High School (1963), and received an Associate's Degree from Peirce Junior College. Before her retirement, she engaged her love of books and of assisting others through her employment for thirty years at the Garnet Valley High School Library. She found joy in the pages of a good book, and in taking in a movie (even if it wasn't that good) with good friends; she delighted in the ocean and the beach, regardless of the season, in the many and varied birds that visited her yard, and in her ever-changing gardens, especially the veritable seas of daffodils in which they were awash throughout the Spring.
Nancy treasured the time and companionship of her many friends and of her cherished, adoring poodle, Levi, but most important to her was her beloved and loving family. Mother of Laurence N. Sparklin, Caroll B. Craig (Jeffrey), David A. Smith (Selma), Kimberly Sparklin and Scott G. Smith (Marcia); sister of John Tschoepe, Harold Tschoepe and Abby Tschoepe (Pat); grandmother of Jaymi Sparklin, Kaytlyn Sparklin, Samuel Craig, Sydney Craig, Finn Smith and Meila Smith. She is also survived by seven adoring great-grandchildren, along with many wonderful nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral Service 11 AM Wednesday, February 19, 2025 at the White-Luttrell Funeral Home, 311 N. Swarthmore Ave., Ridley Park where relatives and friends may call after 10 AM. Burial private.
