Nancy Stadtlander Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Par-Troy Funeral Home on Dec. 19, 2025.
Nancy Jane Stadtlander (nee Davidson) passed away peacefully on December 8, 2025 at the age of 91.
Nancy was preceded in death by her beloved husband Frank L. Stadtlander and son-in-law Frederick G. Orchard. She is survived by her five children; Gail Sterling and her husband Robert, Marion DeZenzo and her husband Anthony, Frank Stadtlander and his wife Nancy, Lora Orchard and her husband Patrick Clare, Alan Stadtlander and his wife Kelly. Nancy is also survived by her adored 12 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren as well as a cherished niece Leah Solis and husband Tito.
Nancy was born July 22, 1934 to William and Margaret (Mallon) Davidson and raised in Jersey City along with her 3 siblings William, Frank and Helen (Linda). Nancy attended PS23 and graduated from Dickinson High School, Jersey City and began working at Western Electric. As a teenager Nancy met the love of her life, Frank L. Stadtlander. They were engaged while Frank was serving in Korea and married soon after his return on May 14, 1955 at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, Jersey City. Together they raised five children while living in Lake Parsippany. Nancy held the role of "stay-at-home Mom" for the school years and then later re-entered the workforce working for AT&T until she retired.
Nancy's greatest joy was spending time with family and friends. Her hobbies included ceramics, crocheting, sewing, playing mahjong, Bingo and trips to the casinos. Nancy and husband Frank enjoyed their retirement years traveling and spending winters in Florida.
In most recent times, Nancy spent her days with an extraordinary group of Senior Citizen friends shopping, going to lunch, movies and much more thanks to the Mt. Arlington Senior Transportation Program and beloved driver, Lucy.
Final arrangements were private and handled by Par Troy Funeral Home.
