Nancy Jean Broadnax Stallworth was first-born to proud parents, the late Willie Wade and Annie Mae Broadnax, on April 5, 1949 in Moss Point, MS.

Nancy will be sadly and sorely missed. Those with the honor of knowing Nancy will remember her immense and authentic love and dedication for family and friends.

Nancy Jean began her journey in Moss Point, MS, where she attended grade school and Magnolia High School, a proud class of 1968 Monarch. Nancy's dedication extended far beyond her school years. She was a faithful and active member of the VFW Arnette Garland Jennings Post 10024 in Pascagoula, MS for many years. Nancy served in many capacities, held several leadership roles, including eight-year tenure as president of the Ladies Auxiliary. She was instrumental in organizing and chairing carnival balls for all ages, multiple times per year, sometimes crafting the costumes for the local youth. During this time, Nancy spearheaded many community service programs, including annual Christmas toy giveaways. Her involvement with the VFW extended beyond local to state-wide and national conference participation. In her professional life, Nancy had a passion for interior decorating (Home Interior), adding beauty to many homes and was a respected retiree of International Paper Company. She was also a member of Asbury Chapel AME Zion Church in Pascagoula, MS until her earthly departure.

On Monday, October 27, 2025, Nancy transitioned from this life to her heavenly home. She is preceded in death by: one son, Antonio "Chuck" Stallworth; parents, Willie and Annie Broadnax; two brothers, Donald Ray and Ronald Ray Broadnax Sr.; grandparents, Nelson and Julia Broadnax, George Champion, Hilton and Leona Anderson.

Nancy leaves behind a loving legacy through her cherished and devoted children: Pamela (David) Singleton Sr., Veronica (Michael) Seales, Cassandra (Cedric) Shoemo Sr., Dan (Keosha) Stallworth III, Gary Stallworth, and LaTosha Middleton, all of Moss Point, MS.

Grandchildren whom she deeply loved and adored: Tiffany (Otis) Carter IV of Nashville, TN; Chasity Brown of Moss Point, MS; Kiara Stallworth of Jackson, MS; LaKenya (Tracy) Lampley of Ocean Springs, MS; Cedric (Shaina) Shoemo Jr. of Dallas, TX; Khari Stallworth of Moss Point, MS; Bertram Bernard Middleton Jr. of Norfolk, VA; Cameron Shoemo of Houston, TX; Jordan Seales of Moss Point, MS; Wadelyn Middleton of Pascagoula, MS; Damon Stallworth, Peyton Stallworth of West Palm Beach, FL and DaJon Singleton of Birmingham, AL.

Great-grandchildren which brought her much pride and joy: Keonte, Otis V, Ian, Khaila, Tracy II, Cedric III, Kinsley, Jermel, Tate, and Ke'Andre.

Loving sisters who offered unwavering support: Carolyn (Eugene) Mosley of Moss Point, MS; Jerald (Henry) Keyes of Moss Point, MS; Linda (James) King of Gulfport, MS, and Angelia Broadnax of Pascagoula, MS.

One special and adored aunt, Aleaser Ross of Fairfield, CA; two God-daughters, retired TSgt Le'Kaya McGhee of Jacksonville, AR and Nekila Davis of Pascagoula, MS.

Long-term and loving friends: La June Maxie James of Moss Point, MS; Carolyn Robinson Moore of Pascagoula, MS; Gwendolyn Johson of Moss Point, MS; Rosa Lee Johnson of Moss Point, MS; Barbara Joe of Moss Point, MS, and Annie Jackson of Moss Point, MS.

Nancy 's impact also extends to an endearing son, Bernard "Ben-nard" Middleton Sr.; former sisters-in-law, Estelle Martin, Comernerce Payton, Brondolyn Goldsmith, Melvia Simmons, Carolyn Sanders, and Carrie Marion, all of whom she remained close with and regarded as loving sisters; adoring bonus children (Alvin Jones, LaRon Batson, Michelle Shepherd, Shermeka Gill, Dannetta Johnson, Jacqueline Williams, Roderick Franklin, Thora Waheed, Dani Stallworth, Daniel Stallworth), many devoted and loving nieces and nephews, devoted neighbor Bobby Tate, cousins, and friends that have been impacted and will miss her greatly.
