Nancy Sweet, 84, of Mahwah, NJ, peacefully passed away on Wednesday, January 21, 2026, at Dellridge Health and Rehabilitation Center.
Born on July 20, 1941, in Ridgewood, NJ, Nancy was the daughter of the late Marion and Robert V. Sweet Jr. She spent most of her life in Ridgewood before moving to Mahwah in 1998. For 25 years, Nancy dedicated her career to Ramapo College, where she served as an Administrative Assistant to the Vice President of Student Affairs before her retirement in 2002. In her leisure time, Nancy found joy in watercolor painting, expressing her creativity through art.
Nancy is survived by her loving family, including her brother Richard W. and his wife Sarah, her brother Robert V. III and his wife Margaret, as well as her nephews Robert W. and his wife Olga, David, and her niece Samantha Manfredonio and her husband Michael. She also leaves behind three great-nephews and a great-niece who will cherish her memory.
A private cremation will be held in honor of Nancy’s wishes. She will be remembered fondly by all whose lives she touched.
