Nancy Marie Tate, born on June 9, 1966, in Bluefield, West Virginia, passed away peacefully from natural causes on February 10, 2026, in Beckley, West Virginia. She was a beloved homemaker whose heart and spirit were profoundly connected to her family and their well-being. Nancy's life was a tapestry woven with compassion and love, particularly for her children, who were her pride and joy. She was the devoted mother of Timothy Tate, Amanda Schifflette, Crystal Estes, Angelina England, Tommi Tate, and Tina Justice. Her legacy continues through her cherished grandchildren: Samantha England, Angel Shrewsbury, Miranda Duncan, Nathon Hurley, Dakota Shifflette, Madison England, Summer Estes, Destiny Shifflette, Michael Shifflette III, Bella Lilly, Mckenzy Shifflette, Jaedon Shifflette, Sharven Estes III, Jeremiah Lilly, Cruze Tate, Raina Tate, and great-grandchildren Dakota Walker, Chance Walker, Harley Adkins, Asher Reed Duncan, Kainan Moss Duncan, and Ravyn Morgan. Nancy had a profound affinity for her family, often expressing that they were the core of her existence. She also shared a special bond with her beloved dog, Sasha, who brought joy and companionship to her life. Her warmth extended not only to her children but also to her siblings: James England, Brenda Justice, Cathy McGraw, and Dream Schrack. In the years she spent nurturing her family, Nancy created countless memorable moments filled with laughter, love, and unyielding support. Her family remembers her for her never-failing compassion and her vibrant spirit that lit up every room. A memorial service will be held in her honor on February 18, 2026, at 6:00 PM at Calfee Funeral Home Chapel.
