Nancy E. Taylor, 80, passed away peacefully at St. John's Hawthorne Assisted Living Facility in Rochester, NY on September 5, 2025.

Nancy was born in Chicago, Il on 11/28/1944, raised in Jamestown, NY and the daughter of the late William Aaron and Virginia Cornell Taylor. Nancy was a 1962 Graduate of Jamestown High School and 1966 Graduate of Chandler School for Women in Boston Massachusetts receiving her degree in Secretarial Science.

Nancy dedicated 42 years to the Eastman Kodak Company in Rochester, NY and New York City area. Following retirement, she was a dedicated volunteer for St. Ann's Community and Goodwill ABVI and enjoyed Rochester Broadway Theater League. Nancy loved animals, adopting several rescue cats throughout the years. Nancy was kind and generous to everyone she met and most of all cherished spoiling her nieces and nephews.

Surviving are siblings, Diane Wellman of Jamestown NY and William (Beverly) Taylor Jr of Ft. Mill, SC, six nieces and nephews; Barclay "Clay" (Monica) Wellman Jr. of Arlington, VA, Taylor (Jill) Wellman of Rochester, NY, Alexandra Wellman (Ryan Fischer) of Oakmont, PA , Aaron (Courtney) Taylor of Mayville, NY, William (Gwyn) Taylor III of Charlotte, NC and Sarah (Jason) Lincoln of Boonsboro, MD as well as thirteen great nieces and great nephews ; Lilly Wellman (Goddaughter) , Barclay "Trip" Wellman III, Eloise and Quinlan Fischer, Ethan ,Isaac, and Amelia Taylor, Madeline, Caleb and Gabriella Lincoln and Wrenley, Emersyn and Leighton Taylor.

Nancy was preceded in death by her father William and mother Virginia, both in 1993 and brothers Lawrence "Lawrie" Taylor and Stephen Taylor, both in 2019.

A memorial service will be held at 12 noon, Saturday, October 18th in St. Luke's Episcopal Church in Jamestown NY. The burial will be in Veteran's Grove in Lake View Cemetery. Although Nancy was not a veteran, her final wish was to be buried alongside her beloved brother Lawrie who proudly served in the United States Navy.

The family would like to extend sincere gratitude to St. John's Hawthorne Staff, UR Medicine Hospice team and private companions who provided loving, dignified and compassionate care to Nancy.
