Her Legacy Nancy Irene Telfer, 83, passed away April 20, 2025. She was born on March 3, 1942, in Detroit, Michigan to Leroy Burnstrum and Lella (Jacobs) Burnstrum. Nancy married the love of her life, George Telfer, on January 18, 1969, in Las Vegas, Nevada. Nancy loved her life on Strawberry Lake, where she grew up. She was a good friend and neighbor and was loved by everybody. Nancy was very sweet, fun loving and happy. She enjoyed knitting, sewing, ceramics and her beloved cats. Her grandchildren were everything to her, she loved having one on one time with them, taking them to Dairy Queen and shopping. Nancy was a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
Her Family Nancy will be missed by her children, Lisa (David) Rutkoski, Steve (Brandy) Telfer; sister, Vikki (Jerry) Middleton; grandchildren, Caitlin (Sean) Fazio, Trevor Leszczynski, Corinn (Robert Logan) Rutkoski, Spencer Telfer, Cameron Telfer; great-grandchild, Carson Fazio; and numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband, George Telfer; parents, Leroy and Lella Burnstrum; and brother, Ronnie (Jaynie) Burnstrum.
Her Farewell Nancy's family will gather for a private natural farewell at Borek Jennings Funeral Home, Hamburg Chapel. Memorial contributions are suggested to Alzheimer's Association.
