Nancy A. Tiano

Nancy A. Tiano, 86, of Santa Fe, New Mexico, passed away peacefully on September 23, 2025.

She will be remembered as a dedicated mother and grandmother. Nancy's presence touched the lives of her family, friends, and community, leaving behind cherished memories and a legacy of kindness.

Nancy was predeceased by her beloved husband of 53 years, Joe Tiano Jr. Much of her life was spent by his side, working together during his years as the golf professional at the Santa Fe Country Club. The life they built together was a testament to their shared values of hard work, genuine friendship, and a love of family above all else. Beyond her work at the country club, Nancy also served her community through roles at the New Mexico State Legislature, in the office of Governor Garry Carruthers, and later at Raymond James Financial Services. She was admired for her dedication, professionalism, and kindness in every setting.

Outside of her career, Nancy loved gardening and needlepoint, pastimes that reflected her patience, creativity, and care for detail. Her artistry and green thumb, much like her presence, brought beauty and warmth to those around her.

Nancy is survived by her brother Jim and his wife Sharon Liebeck, and her sister Judy Allen. She is also survived by her children: Tari Tiano-Brown and her husband Neil, and their daughter Jessica; Joey Tiano and his wife Linda; Kelsie Garin and her husband Pat, and their children Sean and Delany; and Chris Tiano and his wife Sue, and their children Cherise and her husband Jonathan, Nathan, Luke and his wife Esther, and Tessa. She will also be dearly missed by her many nieces, nephews, and extended family.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Santa Maria de la Paz Catholic Community on November 8, 2025, at 10:00 a.m., with interment to follow at Rosario Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to your favorite charity in Nancy's honor.
