Nancy Trabin

Nancy Trabin of Monroe Township, NJ, passed away on September 12, 2025 at the age of 80, after a brief battle with pancreatic cancer.

Born on May 18, 1945 in Slatedale, PA, she attended Temple University and Muhlenberg College, studying nursing. Nancy lived in Pennsylvania, Maryland, and Michigan, before moving to Monroe Township, NJ to be closer to her grandchildren.

Nancy's love of caring for people started at a young age. When she finished high school, she attended nursing school, then worked as a nurse for several years. Nancy later became a stay-at-home mother while continuing to work in the community, volunteering in numerous capacities. She later returned to work as a patient instructor at the University of Michigan Medical School. Nancy loved spending time with her three granddaughters and attending many of their activities and sporting events. She also enjoyed many hobbies, including playing cards, gardening, reading, puzzles, sewing, watching sports, and engaging in politics. Nancy also loved traveling; some of her favorite vacations included road trips around the US, several trips to Israel, and a Caribbean cruise for her 80th birthday.

Nancy was a caring mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She is survived by her children, Jennifer (Jeremy) Black and Deborah Trabin and her granddaughters, Shira, Talia, and Eliana Black.

Funeral services and burial will be held on Tuesday, September 16 at 11:00 am at Shalom Memorial Park, 3573 Pine Road, Huntingdon Valley, PA.

Shiva will be observed at the residence of Jen and Jeremy Black in Plainsboro, NJ, from 7:30 – 9:00pm on Tuesday, September 16, Wednesday September 17, and Thursday September 18. There will be a minyan at 8pm on all three evenings.

Memorial contributions are respectfully requested to American Cancer Society and Planned Parenthood.
