Nancy L. Trainor-Bateman passed away on May 2, 2024, in Dudley, MA, at the age of 83. Born in Boston, daughter to the late Robert B. and Frances (Reynolds) Faulkner.
Nancy graduated from Peters High School in Southborough, MA. She went on to have a fulfilling career as an Administrative Assistant at UMass Medical School. She never met a stranger. She had friends near and far with whom she was kind and loyal.
Nancy will be dearly missed by her son John Trainor and his wife Kathleen of Holden, daughters Judith Russell and her husband David of Sandwich, Susan McCracken, and husband Ralph of Worcester, and Elizabeth Little and her husband Michael of Shrewsbury, seven treasured grandchildren: Nicholas, Alex, Julia, Kathryn, William, Cole, and Sydney, and her brother Robert B. Faulkner of Northbridge. Her husband Ellis F. Bateman passed away in February.
Nancy was an avid reader on an endless quest for knowledge, always on top of and eager to share current events, pop culture and fashion trends. She will be remembered for her impeccable style, contagious laugh, determination, and dynamic presence. She enjoyed traveling and baking. Nancy also enjoyed being outdoors, gardening, and bird watching.
Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend a time of visitation on Tuesday, May 7, 2024, from 5-7 PM at Callahan Fay & Caswell Life Celebration Home, 61 Myrtle St., Worcester. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, May 8, 2024, at 10 AM at St. John's Catholic Church, 44 Temple St., Worcester, followed by burial at St John's Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to St. John's Food Pantry, 44 Temple Street, Worcester, 01604.
Nancy will always be remembered for her kindness, love, and care towards her family and friends. May she rest in peace.
