Nancy Jane Walsh (Quigg) died at Holland Village, surrounded by her family, on Saturday, January 3, 2026. She was 95 years old.
Nancy was the loving wife of the late William J. Walsh Jr. The couple had been married 49 years at the time of Bill's passing in 2007. They lived in
Richboro, PA for 40 years raising their four children.
Born in
Philadelphia, PA, Nancy was the daughter of the late John S. and Marian (Argoe) Quigg.
Nancy graduated from Olney High School in 1948. She was hired by Bell of Pennsylvania where she began a lifelong career working in various roles, from switchboard operator to executive support, until her retirement in 1992. After retirement, when she wasn't spending time with her grandchildren, Nancy enjoyed hobbies such as gardening; traveling with her husband, Bill, on cruises, bus tours across the country, and trips to Europe; sports, especially following her beloved Phillies who she supported as a season ticket holder, and making annual trips to
Clearwater, FL for Spring Training. Nancy was an excellent cook, enjoyed hosting huge family BBQ/swim parties every summer where all were welcome, and had a great appreciation of nice clothes and shoes. In her free time, Nancy spent many hours reading mystery novels, solving cryptograms and working on jigsaw puzzles. She embraced her Irish heritage and lived her life celebrating it.
Nancy will be missed by her children and their spouses, Mary (Joseph), Joan (William), Thomas (Deborah), and Theresa (Scott). She will be remembered by her five grandchildren, Brian, Valerie, Olivia, Meghan, and Cady; her four great-grandchildren, Declan, Julian, Fiona and Kieran; her step-grandchildren and step great-grandchildren. Nancy is also survived by her sister, Joan Trotto, and her many nieces and nephews. Nancy is predeceased by her sisters Marian Feil and Phyllis Reynolds.
The family also thanks the nurses at Holland Village Rehabilitation for their kindness and exceptional care.
Relatives and friends are invited to greet Nancy's family from 10:00am, until the start of her Funeral Mass at 11:30am, on Monday, January 12, 2026 at St. Bede the Venerable Church at 1071 Holland Road in Holland, PA 18966. Her interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park in Feasterville, PA.
