Nancy L. Widmer, 74, of Stroud Township, passed away Monday morning, January 12, 2026 while under the loving care of her daughter Cindy and hospice care in her home. She was the widow of Joseph Leroy Widmer, Sr. who died December 4, 1996.

Born on November 9, 1951 in East Stroudsburg, she was a daughter of the late Lawrence and Shirley (Fenical) Bisbing and was a lifelong resident of Monroe County.

In earlier years she worked at Sommer's Blouse Factory and later was a caregiver for Griswold Home Care.

Nancy was a member of the Thomas P. Lambert Post 2540 VFW Auxiliary in East Stroudsburg and enjoyed spending time with family and friends, singing karaoke, and playing pool.

Surviving are three children; Tammy Higdon (Carl Wickline) of Kennerdell, Cindy Widmer (Russell Hooey II) of Stroudsburg and Joseph Widmer, Jr. (Colleen Hughes) of East Stroudsburg; nine grandchildren, Daniel Higdon, Darren Higdon, Christopher Higdon, Tiffany Meckes, Tyler Meckes, Amanda Transue, James Counterman, Jr., Joseph Widmer and Cory Widmer; nine great grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

In addition to her husband and parents she was preceded in death by two brothers, Raymond A. Bisbing, Sr. and Lawrence E. Bisbing, Sr..

Services will be held on Friday, January 16th, at the William H. Clark Funeral Home, Stroudsburg with viewing beginning at 10:00AM followed by the funeral service at noon. Burial will follow at Sand Hill Cemetery, Shoemakers. The family would like you to join them at the VFW #2540 hall in East Stroudsburg following the burial for a celebration of life.

In lieu of flowers, memorial remembrances may be made to the Thomas P. Lambert Post 2540.
