Nancy Marie Yarnall

Smyrna, DE - Nancy Marie (Jacobs) Yarnall age 80, passed away on December 23, 2022. She was the daughter of the late Joseph M. Jacobs, Sr. and Ida Mae Scott Jacobs. She was born November 25, 1942, in Wilmington, Delaware.
Nancy was a graduate of Dickinson High School and worked for the DuPont Company after graduation. In December 1967 she met the love of her life, Ray, at a Christmas Party. The two would have their first date at a Christmas Eve Service shortly after. In September 1968 Nancy and Ray were married at St. Joseph's on the Brandywine and went on to celebrate 54 years of marriage together. After starting a family in 1971 she dedicated her time to children and family. Nancy retired from the University of Delaware Bookstore in 2003 after 20 years of service. Above all else, Nancy was a loving Wife, Mom and Mom-Mom who will be deeply missed by her family.
She was predeceased by her brother Joseph M. Jacobs, Jr. and her grandson Joshua Bock-Yarnall. Nancy is survived by her husband of 54 years, Raymond V. Yarnall, Sr., Sons Ray (Amy) Yarnall, Scott Yarnall, Chris Yarnall, and Jeff Yarnall; grandchildren Kathryn Bullins, Shannon Yarnall, Jacob Yarnall, Lily Yarnall, and Elizabeth Yarnall. Nancy is also survived by her sister Barbara J. Stapleton, sister-in-law Ann Jacobs and many other loved ones.
Memorial services will be held 2PM, Monday, January 9, 2023 at Torbert Funeral Chapel, 1145 E. Lebanon Road (RT.10), Dover. Friends may call one hour prior.
