Jordan Funeral Home - KosciuskoVirginia Nan Burrell Pickle, 88, of McAdams, Mississippi, passed away on Wednesday, October 1, 2025, at her daughter’s residence, surrounded by her family. Visitation is from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., Saturday, October 4, 2025, at McAdams Baptist Church. The Funeral service will follow the visitation at 11:00 a.m. at McAdams Baptist Church with burial at Coleman Cemetery. Rev. James Young is officiating the service.
Nan was born on July 27, 1937, to Joe Bernice Burrell and Freeda Kate Temple in Attala County, Mississippi. She was employed with the Attala County Tax Collector's office for many years, before being employed and retiring from formerly Tyler, King, and Ryder Insurance Company (Renasant and Sunstar Insurance Company). Nan was a member of McAdams Baptist Church.
Nan is survived by her loving husband, James B. Pickle of McAdams; sons, James (DeAnna) Boyd Pickle, Jr and Tim Pickle; daughter, Beth (Ken) Coleman; grandsons, Jeremy (Gabrielle) Pickle, Dusty Moss, and Brady (Alexis) Moss; granddaughters, Morgan Pickle, Katie Moss, and Meagan Pickle; great-granddaughter, Charlee Pickle and sister, Janice Gowan.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Joe Bernice Burrell and Freeda Kate Temple.
Serving as pallbearers are Wayne Downs, Jeremy Pickle, Dusty Moss, Brady Moss, Johnny Barber, and Randy Jones.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital or Coleman Cemetery, 10165 Highway 12, Sallis, MS, 39160.
