Mrs. Naomi "Pete" Cordell Hope, 88, of Dewy Rose, passed away Sunday, February 25, 2024 at Rainey Hospice House, Anderson SC.
Born on April 21, 1935 in Hartwell, GA, she was the daughter of the late Thomas Albert Cordell and Fannie Shiflet Cordell. She was formerly employed with Dr. William Brinson and Dr. Ronald Redfield. Naomi was a retired sales clerk for Bailes-Cobb, a member of Sardis Baptist Church and Red Hat Society.
Survivors include one son: Dwain Williams (Sherry) of Dewy Rose; one daughter: Diane Moon (Mike) of Anderson; one sister: June C. Hilley of Hartwell; three grandchildren: Elizabeth "Liz" Link (Sumter), Michael Moon and Adrianne Williams. Mrs. Hope is preceded in death by her parents; her husband: Lt. Col. James R. "Jim" Hope USAF Ret; a grandson: Adam Morris; one brother: Hugh Cordell and one sister: Minnie Sue Dyar.

Funeral services for Mrs. Naomi "Pete" Hope will be Tuesday, February 27, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell with Rev. John Silver and Rev. Carter Tucker officiating. Visitation will follow the service. Burial will be in the Nancy Hart Memorial Park.
Flowers are optional, and memorials may be made to the Sardis Baptist Church, 4359 Anderson Hwy, Hartwell, GA 30643, Hospice of the Upstate, 1835 Rogers Road, Anderson SC 29621 or Winning Fore The Kids, In Memory of Adam Morris, C/O Winston Gibbs, 255 Cambridge Drive, Athens GA 30606.
