Naomi Ruth Potthast

Naomi Ruth Potthast, age 83 of Hilliard, Florida passed away peacefully surrounded by family on February 18, 2025. Naomi was born in Gary, Indiana on January 6, 1942. Naomi spent her early years in Indiana raising her family. She followed her daughters to Jacksonville, Florida. Naomi met the love of her life Stephen Potthast and they were blissfully married for 30 years. Naomi enjoyed spending time tending to her flowers, shopping trips with her daughters, traveling to visit family, and fishing with Stephen. Her greatest joy in life was being surrounded by her loving family, especially during holiday gatherings when she loved to cook. Naomi had a deep and abiding faith in her Heavenly Father and loved attending church and Sunday school. Naomi is preceded in death by her daughter, Debbie and grandson, John.
Naomi is survived by her husband, Stephen; daughter, Renee (Dan) Herring; son, Don (Marci) Stonehouse; sister, Evelyn Cox; brother, John (Gail) Sullivan; grandchildren, Christina, Ginger, Jeff, Tosha, Jason, Amber, Tony, and 22 great grandchildren.

A Celebration of Naomi's life will be held on Tuesday, February 25, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. at Nassau Funeral Home with Pastor Sarah Team officiating.
