Narketah Renee Montgomery

Narketah (Ketah) Renee Montgomery of Aurora, Illinois, was born Feb. 10th, 1962 and departed this earth on August 24th, 2025 following a short illness.

She was the daughter of the late Barbara (Holts) and Frederick Montgomery of Cincinnati, Ohio.

Being an only child she looked forward to spending time each summer with her cousins at their grandparents (Colonel and Ida Holts) home in Flemingsburg, Ky. Ketah graduated from High school in Cincinnati, Ohio and attended The University of Cincinnati. She was a member of Sigma Gamma RHO Sorority Inc.. She met her long time partner ReDavis (Davey) Graham and they became the parents of 2 children. Ian (deceased) and Miguel. She became step-mom to Davey's 2 sons(Davey and Corey). She was Godmother to Kalin Williams and Great Godmother to Brooklyn and Shalynn Lindsey. Ketah was outgoing and caring to all who knew her. She enjoyed going to good restaurants to sample different cuisines. Ketah loved going on cruises each year and was known to be planning her next cruise while stepping off the ship from her current one. She had already made plans for a 2 week cruise to celebrate her next birthday. Her daughter Miguel accompanied her on all of her cruises and you can rest assured that she will be with Miguel on all of her future cruises. Narketah although your last cruise was not as you had planned you were given a better cruise than you had hoped for, You were given the blessing of a cruise to be reunited with your loved ones that went before you. SAIL ON KETAH !!!!

She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Miguel (Atlas) Horn of Aurora, Ill., Step sons Davey and Corey Graham of Raleigh North Carolina, Brother Keith Perkins of Cincinnati, Ohio,  Aunts Ida Cutwright Lexington, Ky., Edith Holts and Jennie Holts Higgins of Cincinnati, Ohio, Uncles Oliver Holts Cincinnati, Ohio and Orville Holts of Houston, Texas. Numerous cousins and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, her partner ReDavis Graham, son Ian, grandparents Colonel and Ida Holts, Uncle Colonel Holts Jr., Aunts/Uncles Mary (Holts) T.L. Hendrix, Dorothy (Holts) Charles Williams , cousins Marilyn Taylor and Katherine Williams.

Funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. on Saturday, September 6, 2025 in the chapel of the Michael R. Gray Funeral Home, 405 South Main Cross Street, Flemingsburg, Kentucky 41041.

Narketah will be laid to rest in the Fleming County Cemetery.

Visitation is after 1:00 P.M. until the hour of service at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be, Kirk Cutwright, Atlas Horn, Alonzo Lindsey, Keith Perkins, and John Willis.

All arrangements for Narketah Renee Montgomery and family are under the care and direction of the Michael R. Gray Funeral Home in Flemingsburg.
