Nasheka Lashay Lenued,44, passed away peacefully in her home January 18, 2025. A memorial service will be held Saturday, February 8, at 3:00 pm at Marek-Burns-Laywell Funeral Home chapel.
Nasheka Lashay Lenued was born May 28, 1980, in Cameron, Tx at what used to be the St. Edward's Memorial Hospital.
Affectionately known as "Shay".
Shay graduated from C.H. Yoe High School in 1998, where she met many lifelong friends. Shay spent most of her life in Cameron, Tx. She lived in Rockdale, Tx for a few months. Both a little before moving to Rockdale & during her stay she attended Temple Junior College striving for a medical degree. This led her to becoming a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN).
After a few years of being licensed she was forced to retire due to her being diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis (MS) and it drastically getting worst over time. In addition to her efforts in the medical field, Shay had personal interests. She loved music ( her favorite artist was DaBaby), She loved movies (Specifically horror, she favored Michael Meyers the most), and lastly playing Tetris ( She loved puzzle games). Shay was a lover of food believe it or not "Meatloaf", "Beef and Broccoli", "Cheesburgers", and "Metaball Subs" were her favorite, the color purple, obsessing over & loving on her grandson Zaedyn, speaking her mind, talking for hours, her family, friends, and most importantly her faith. To know Shay is to have laughed with, talk for 2 hours +, or to have shared a kind word, whether a close friend or stranger.
She is survived by her Mother; Mary Gaines, her Children; Destiny Weathersby and Samari Ware, her First Grandchild; Zaedyn Weathersby, Her Brother; Kevin Mcclennon, her aunts, uncles, cousins, and countless friends and lives Shay has touched throughout her life.
