Nathan Thomas Button

Nathan Thomas Button (20) of Fairview, NC passed away on September 26, 2024, as the result of a motorcycle accident that occurred two days prior. Born on November 20, 2003, Nate lived his short life to the fullest and on the edge. He is survived by his mother, Michelle Yates (Brandon) of Fairview; father, Jeremy Button Sr of Morganton; brother, Jeremy Button Jr (Alissa) of Morganton; sister, Chloe Button of Fairview; girlfriend, Laurena Stephens; niece, Ridley Button; doting aunt, Christina Fisher; along with many loving grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends from all over.
Nathan attended high school in Valdese, NC and worked in his dream career for MR Motorcycle of Asheville. Nate kept everyone he met on their toes wondering what would happen next. He loved to catch all types of animals and enjoyed playing baseball. Nathan was skilled at giving tattoos and playing the piano. "Nate the Great" will always be remembered for his giving heart, stubborn ways, storytelling, charismatic smile and charming dimple. Nathan's final act of heroism was to selflessly save the lives of others through organ donation.
A celebration of life was held on Tuesday, October 8, 2024, at Emma's Grove Baptist Church in Fletcher, NC at 11:00am.
