Funeral service for Nathan Coker, age 46 of Yantis, Texas will be held at 12:00 P.M. on Saturday, September 2, 2023 at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home with Bro. C.J. Duffey officiating. Interment will follow at Yantis Cemetery with Ashley McMillan, Ty McKeever, Jesse Hooker, Bailey Hawley, Jody Harris, Cole Johnson and Trey Gilbreath serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Steven Coker and Garrett Coker. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Mr. Coker passed away on August 28, 2023 at his residence.
Nathan was born on September 8, 1976 in Sulphur Springs, Texas to Lynn Marcus “Mark” and Shelia (Bussell) Coker. Nathan worked as a construction worker and was the maintenance director at an RV Park. He was of the Cherokee Indian decent. Nathan was apart of the Yantis Volunteer Fire Department.
He is survived by his father, Mark and wife, Pam; son, Steven Coker; brother, Cory Coker; aunts, Norma Coker McIllwain, Beth Owens and husband, Larry; uncle, Mark Bussell and wife, Sheilah.
Nathan was preceded in death by his mother, Sheila; grandparents, Albert and Florence Coker, Don and Bernie Bussell.
