Nathan "P-Nut" Griffith, 85, of Winslow, Indiana, peacefully passed away at his home in Winslow with his loving family by his side. Nathan was born on September 23, 1940, in Velpen, Indiana to the late Eugene and Hazel (Traylor) Griffith.
Nathan graduate from Winslow High School and after he graduated he joined the Army. He was a retired coal miner. He was a member of the Winslow Eagles and Winslow Legion for over 50 years. Nathan love to play poker, euchre and pool, along with waterskiing, and fishing. Nathan loved to spend his time with his family and friends. He will be deeply missed by those who loved him dearly.
Nathan is preceded in death by his loving wife, Peggy Griffith; his parents; and his sisters, Daloris Tisdale and Janice Mills.
Nathan is survived by his daughter, Stacy (Tim) Cromer of Martinsville, IN.; his grandchildren, LaTosha Bailey of Martinsville, IN., Zack Loveless of Petersburg, IN., Brooke (Dustin) Potts of Petersburg, IN.; his 7 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandson; his brothers, Franklin Dewayne Griffith of Oakland City, IN., Roger Griffith of Winslow, IN., Richard (Judy) Griffith of Petersburg, IN.; and his sister Rita Faye (Mike) Craney of Petersburg, IN.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 16, 2025, at Lamb Basham Memorial Chapel from 12:00 PM EST to 2:00 PM EST. A service will begin at 2:00 PM EST. Burial to follow at Oak Hill Cemetery in Winslow, Indiana. There will be a military walk through at the start of the service with military honors taking place at the cemetery by the Winslow American Legion Honor Guard.
