Nathan Sample

Nathan Sample, a beloved family man, passed away on August 5, 2025, at the age of 45.

Born on February 3, 1980, Nathan was a proud graduate of Honaker High School and furthered his education at Radford University. His journey through life was marked by an insatiable thirst for knowledge and self-expression. Nathan was self-employed.

Nathan is survived by a loving family who will deeply miss him. He is survived by his devoted wife, Franchesca Sample; his son, Jordan Sample who was the light of his life; and his parents, Barry and Juanita Sample. Also mourning his passing are his brother, Neil Sample (Misty); brother-in-law Franklin Sawyers (Destiny); sisters-in-law, Felicia Moran and Stacy Williams (Mike); Nathan’s cherished mother-in-law, Joan Moran; nephews and nieces, Isaiah, Elias, Ezra, FJ and Dre Sawyers, Oliver Sample and Tyrese Williams. Nieces, Claire Sample and Taylor Williams.

Friends, family, and all those whose lives he touched are invited to join in commemorating his life during a visitation on August 9, 2025 from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM, followed by a memorial service at 4:00 PM, both held at Farris Funeral Service – Main Street Chapel, located at 427 E Main St, Abingdon, VA 24210.

Nathan’s spirit will continue to inspire those who knew him, leaving behind a legacy of creativity, love, and family devotion. He will be remembered with fondness and love by all who had the privilege to know him.
