Nathaniel Henes

Kingsford – Nathaniel L. Henes, 23, of Kingsford, Mich., passed away on Sunday, May 25, 2025, at his home with his family and friends by his side.
Nathaniel was born on October 18, 2001, in Ann Arbor, Mich., to Robert and Tina (Ford) Henes.
He had lived in the Kingsford area for nineteen years and was a graduate of Kingsford High School, class of 2020.
He was on the bowling team and played football for Kingsford High School. He enjoyed bowling, gaming with his brothers and friends, and watching movies with his mom and dad. He especially enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.
He is survived by his parents, Robert and Tina Henes; brothers, Kyle (Sara) Henes, and Jacob (Mikayla) Henes; sister, Cassidy (Jaxson) Ferree; maternal grandmother, Wanda Ford; paternal grandmother, Sandra Chumney; niece, Aspen Ferree; a nephew to be born in September of 2025; and his lifelong best friend, Clay Weinfurter.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Dillon Henes; maternal grandfather, William Ford; and paternal grandfather, Edward Henes.
Visitation will be from 2:00 until 6:00 p.m., on Thursday, May 29, 2025, at Jacobs Funeral Home, Iron Mountain, Mich. Funeral Service will follow at 6:00 p.m., at the funeral home. Burial services will take place at Roselawn Memorial Park in La Salle Township, Mich., at 11:00 a.m., on Monday, June 2, 2025.
