Nathaniel "Nate" Joseph Lewis, 46, of South Bend passed away on Friday, September 22, 2023, from a drug overdose. After many years of dealing with and battling against the disease of addiction, he is finally at peace. Nate was born in South Bend on July 26, 1977, to Terry Lewis and Marcia (Goddard) Deal.
Nate was known for his contagious laugh, beautiful blue eyes and genuine smile. He could always brighten someone's day with his funny sense of humor and loved to joke around with people. Nate consistently sang out loud to all of his favorite songs and would make you sing along too. The music of Nate's life will always live on in our hearts and we will forever remember all of the good times we had with him.
Nate is survived by his mother, Marcia Deal; sister, Adrienne (Craig) Moore; and brother, Chase (Lauren) Deal. He is preceded in death by his father, Terry Lewis and stepfather, Thomas Deal.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Hahn Funeral Home has been entrusted with handling the final arrangements.
