Age 85 of Wilmington, Illinois, departed this life to go home to be with her beloved Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, on Saturday, December 6, 2025 at her home.
Born December 21, 1939 in Joliet, Illinois, Necia Louise was a daughter of Ralph and Edith (Bodien) Hahn-Parker. She was raised in Joliet and graduated from Joliet Township High School where she completed her Practical Nursing certification. Necia's nursing career spanned 23 years of dedicated service throughout Joliet and Chicagoland. She was a deeply spiritual woman and member of Abundant Life Fellowship Church in Wilmington, and generously donated her time and effort through volunteerism with programs such as Catholic Charities, The Senior Companion or Foster a Grandparent programs, and Trinity Services. Necia's family was her pride and joy, devoting herself to being the best mother, grandmother, and great grandmother anyone could ask for.
Survivors include four children: Jody (Ray) Kaptena and Deborah (Bob) Chamberlin, both of Wilmington, David (Colleen) Cartwright of Benham, Kentucky, and Jacque Nobles (Harvey Plante) of Coal City, Illinois, and as Necia would say, "too many grandchildren and great grandchildren to count"; one brother, Louis Hahn of Brookston, Minnesota; and many cousins and numerous nieces and nephews.
Necia was preceded in death by her parents: Ralph Hahn and Edith (Charles) Parker; her husband, Fred Dickerman, and her ex-husband, Robert Cartwright; one son, Randy Lee Cartwright; grandson, Nathan Kaptena; one brother, David Hahn; and her best friend, Tricia Edmunds.
Per Necia's wishes, cremation rites are being accorded.
The family will receive friends at Abundant Life Fellowship, 23632 Illinois Route 113, in Wilmington on Sunday, December 21, 2025 from 2:00 p.m. until the time of memorial service at 3:00 p.m.
