Neil John Davis was born on July 23, 1954 in Goodland, Kansas the fifth boy to Wade and Mable Davis. Neil enjoyed participating in various sports throughout school including baseball, football, and wrestling. Neil was always an outdoorsman, enjoying hunting and especially fishing with friends and family over the years. Neil enlisted in the Air Force in December 1972 and was stationed in Kansas City, Missouri. On June 13, 1974 Neil and Susie were married and she and their son Cory Ray moved to Kansas City while he finished boot camp. Neil received an honorable discharge from the Air Force in November 1974 at which time Neil and Susie moved back to Burlington. In July 1976, Neil and Susie welcomed daughter Mistie Lea. November 1978 daughter Erin Lynn was born, but unfortunately she went to heaven 2 short days later. After 13 years of marriage, Neil and Susie parted ways. On July 25, 1987, Neil married Vicky Douglas and welcomed her children, Joshua Levi and Jessi Leann into his family. Not long after, in August, Brittany Alyss was born. Neil and Vicky went their separate ways in 1998. In early 1999, Neil met Jorgette Boulet and they were married on December 31, 2000. Through his marriage to Jorgette, Neil gained someone special to his heart, Janna Pavelis. Neil and Jorgette enjoyed their time together, fishing, gambling in Blackhawk, and going to rodeos. Over the years Neil held various jobs ranging from working at the sugar beet factory in Burlington to farming to selling cars and home windows to operations manager for fire protection services, to ending his working career being a security guard at Monarch casinos. Neil's pride and joy were his grandchildren, Dyzyre, Dyovannie, and Trey. You could often find Neil cheering on one of them at a ball game or wrestling match. In October 2023, Neil became paralyzed after a medical procedure. Although his life drastically changed, Neil kept his sense of humor while adjusting to this difficult lifestyle. After many tough battles and hospital visits, Neil peacefully left us on August 17th surrounded by a room full of close family. Neil is preceded in death by his mom and dad Mable and Wade Davis; his brothers Richard, Jimmy, and Gail Davis; his daughter Erin Lynn Davis. Neil is survived by his brother Gerald (Lu) Davis of Bethune, Colorado; his wife Jorgette Davis of Thornton, Colorado; his son Cory Davis (Kate) of Stratton, Colorado; his daughter Mistie Davis (Liane) of Arvada, Colorado; his daughter Brittany (Antoine), of Denver, Colorado; his step son Josh Douglas (Jen) of Littleton, Colorado; his step daughter Jessi Motosaka (Thomas) of Edmond, Oklahoma; and Janna of Thornton, Colorado; grandchildren Dyzyre, Dyovannie, Trey; numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends. With a smiling face and sparkling eyes Neil had many friends and family who loved his quick wit and helpful nature. He was his children's and grandchildren's hero, he taught them to keep trying and never give up. Neil was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. He will truly be missed.
