Neil Andrew Wolfe, age 50, of Whispering Pines and formerly of Ellerbe, passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 2, 2024 at FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital in Pinehurst after a brief illness.
Neil was born in Ft. Leonard Wood, MO while his father was serving in the US Army. He grew up in Ellerbe, NC and graduated from East Carolina University. Neil worked for Fidelity Bank for 25 years. For the last several years he served as Business Development Officer and Vice President in the Robbins branch where he was considered a trusted banker and friend.
He was a devout Christian and loved his family. His love for Christ led him to serve in the Gideons International, and as a Deacon and finance committee member at Beulah Hill Baptist Church where he was a member. His love for his family showed in all he did. Neil was never happier than when he was with his wife and boys. He enjoyed taking family vacations, gardening, hunting, and fishing. Neil loved the outdoors and had an appreciation for all of God's creation.
Neil was active in his community where he served in the Carthage Rotary Club for many years and was instrumental in the formation of the Northern Moore Rotary Satellite Club where he was currently a member. He served for many years on the Carthage Century Committee as well as other groups and committees.
Neil is survived by his wife of 23 years Jenifer Orr Wolfe; sons Ben Wolfe, Matt Wolfe and Collin Wolfe all of Whispering Pines; mother Sharon Reuther Lampley and her husband Steve of Ellerbe; father Ron Wolfe of Charlotte; sister Keri Wolfe MacDonald and her husband Michael of Mebane; nephew Ian MacDonald; nieces Corie and Chloe MacDonald.
The family will receive friends on Friday, November 8, 2024 from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. at Fry & Prickett Funeral Home. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday at Beulah Hill Baptist Church, with Pastor Chris Bouldin officiating.
Memorials may be made to: Carthage or Northern Moore Rotary Club, P.O. Box 246, Carthage, NC 28327 or Gideons International, P.O. Box 97251, Washington, DC 20090-7251.
