NELDA M. SHARP WALLACE

August 19, 1930 – December 13, 2025

Nelda Sharp Wallace, 95, of Denton, Tx peacefully passed away on December 13, 2025.

Born on a farm in Asher, Oklahoma on August 19, 1930, she was the daughter of Wm Rouss and Aimee Jean Butts Sharp.

Nelda embraced life with joy, resilience and a generous spirit. For many years she owned a beauty salon in Norman, Oklahoma she named The House of Venus. A longtime member of the LDS Church she volunteered doing genealogy work. She had many talents as an artist with oil paintings, stained glass, ceramics, gardener, gourmet cook and entertained many dinner parties with family and friends. She loved her grandchildren and great grands as they knew her as Mema.

Survivors are her daughter, Amy Dawn McCaulley Barnett (Dan), grandchildren, Derek F. Tarvin (Marci), Aaron Michael Tarvin (Nicol), David Andrew Tarvin (Valerie) and Angela McCaulley, 11 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husbands Jack M. McCaulley and Thomas A. Wallace; children, Daryl McCaulley, Jacqueline McCaulley Barnett and Michael McCaulley; grandson Jonathan Rouss Tarvin and siblings, Exie Jean Ryan, Terry Sharp, Anthony Gray Sharp, William R. Sharp, Jr. and Susanne Sharp Stewart.

The family wishes to give their gratitude to Barbara Crandall, Judy Ryan and Gracie Deckard for the love and care they showed to our Mama and Mema these past few years and in her last days.

Gravesite services will be at Wanette Cemetery in Oklahoma arranged by Mulkey, Bowles, Montgomery funeral home in Denton, Texas.
