Nell Ledford Parris, 88, passed away on Tuesday, January 23, 2024 at Skyland Care Center.
Nell lived in Jackson County for most of her life and was a daughter of the late Jeremiah and Mollie Wykle Ledford. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ronnie Parris, who died in 2017; a daughter, Rhonda Queen; one granddaughter; two grandsons; five brothers; and four sisters. Evanell was a member of Wayside Independent Baptist Church and loved canning, quilting, gardening, and working in her flowers.
She is survived by five children, Shirley Crotts (Arnold), Doyle Ollis (Genenine) Michael Ollis, Diane Price (Harold), and Becky Fisher; 13 grandchildren; and numerous great and great-great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Sunday, January 28, 2024 in the Chapel of Appalachian Funeral Services with the Reverend Carl Stepp officiating. Burial will follow at Addie Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 2:30 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.
