Nellie May Cedars Allen, Houston, TX, formerly of Crawfordsville, IN passed away August 1, 2025 in Texas. She was born April 2, 1929 in Waynetown, IN to William Verne Cedars and Elsie Ethel Atkinson Cedars. She graduated from Waynetown High School in 1947 and worked for R.R. Donnelly and Sons for 35 years. Nellie was an avid reader, she loved playing cards, especially euchre. She also enjoyed crocheting and loved her friends and family. She was a member of Waynetown Baptist church and upon moving to Crawfordsville, was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church. She married Willard Max Allen on August 17, 1947 and he preceded her in death. Also preceding her in death are her siblings; Margaret Cedars Rager, Harry R. Cedars and Betty L. Cedars Miles. Surviving are her children; Michael D. Allen (Susan), David M. Allen (Deborah), Stephen V. Allen (Janice) and Teresa A. Sanders (Michael). Also surviving are 8 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins. Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 PM Friday at Hunt & Son Funeral Home with visitation beginning at noon. Burial will follow at Waynetown Masonic Cemetery.
