Nelson Gray "Smitty" Smith born in Mobile County to the late George Gray Smith and Ila Evelyn Dawile passed away in Carriere, Mississippi on October 22, 2025 at the age of 88.
Nelson was a ressident of Carriere, Mississippi and a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church. He enjoyed spending time with his friends and going fishing.
Nelson is survived by his children William Grey Smith and Dana Spear as well as eight granadchidlren and sisteen grandchildren.
Nelson is preceded is death by his wife Ruth Alice Smith and his parents George Gray Smith and Ila Evelyn Dawile.
Family and friends are invited to attend a visitation on Thursday October 30, 2025 at 10:00 a.m. followed by a Funeral Service at 12:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Bagnell & Son Funeral Home 75212 Hwy 437 Covington, Louisiana 70435. Burial to follow in the Hillview Memorial Garden Cemetery Boglausa, Louisiana.
