Mrs. Neoma King Hill, beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, entered into eternal rest on Monday, July 7, 2025. She was born on June 28, 1949, in Paulding County, Georgia, to the late Willie Mae Kindall and Roy King, Sr. Her life was one of quiet strength, enduring faith, and deep love for her family.
Neoma accepted Christ at an early age and attendee of Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church. Her faith remained a guiding light throughout her life, shaping her values, her kindness, and the care she extended to everyone she encountered. A woman of many joys and simple pleasures, Neoma loved to cook meals that brought her family together, found peace in the art of cross-stitching, and delighted in playing games on her phone and tablet.
These hobbies, though small in appearance, reflected the warmth, creativity, and playful spirit that made her so endearing. Neoma deeply cherished her family. She lit up at the sound of laughter during family gatherings, where she could be found sharing stories, offering wisdom, and wrapping others in the comfort of her presence. Her grandchildren were the pride of her life, and she nurtured each of them with a heart full of unconditional love. In her professional life, Neoma found fulfillment in connecting with others. She was last employed with Target as a sales associate, where her friendly smile and natural warmth made her a favorite among customers. She truly loved people and never met a stranger.
She now joins in eternal peace her beloved daughter, Joyce King; her eight brothers, C.G. King, Roy Jr., Morris, James, Freddy, Larry, Cornelius, and Baby King; and four sisters, Mary McCoy, Nellie Mott, Baby King, and Jewell King.
Neoma leaves behind a legacy of love in the hearts of those who survive her: her devoted brother, Charles King; her treasured grandchildren, Mitchell Johnson, Christopher Johnson, Kenny Witherspoon, Anetra Witherspoon, and Jordan Witherspoon; two great grandchildren, Elijah and Elliott Johnson and the nieces and nephew who tenderly cared for her during her illness-Merinda, Teresa, Thomas, and Wilma. She is also lovingly remembered by other nieces and nephews-Jewell, Jasmine, Hattie, Denise, Joseph, Neal, Joseph Jr., and Jaziaha-as well as a host of extended family and dear friends.
Mrs. Neoma King Hill will be remembered for her warm heart, quiet wisdom, and unwavering love for her family. Her gentle spirit and joyful soul leave a lasting imprint on all who were blessed to know her. She will be deeply missed and forever cherished.
