Nicho Joshua “Joshy” Soliz Jr., 22, resident of Columbia, died Saturday, May 17, 2025 at Maury Regional Medical Center after a lifelong battle with Muscular Dystrophy.
A memorial service will be conducted on Saturday, May 24, 2025 at 1:00 PM at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home with Don Morrow officiating. The Family will visit with friends on Saturday from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home.

Born May 28, 2002 in Boynton Beach, FL, he was the son of Amber Crystal Aubrey and Nicho Joshua Soliz Sr. Joshy was a 2021 graduate of Columbia Central High School. He loved playing video games and surfing the internet.
In addition to his parents he is survived by his siblings, Alejandro Soliz, Elijah Soliz, Christian Soliz, and Athena Soliz; maternal grandmother, Georgina “GiGi” Aubrey; paternal grandmother, Sylvia Soliz; Aunt, Brandy Aubrey; uncles, Sammy Soliz Sr., Raul Soliz Sr., Vincente Soliz, and Simon Soliz; cousins, Felix Aubrey, Jose Perez Jr., Samuel Soliz Jr., Raul Soliz Jr., Isiah Soliz, Mateo Soliz, Patricia Soliz, and Isabel Bazan; and special friend, Coach Larry Jones.
He was preceded in death his uncle, Kenneth J. Aubrey; and cousin, Jeremiah Perez, who also succumb to Muscular Dystrophy.
