Nicholas O. "Nick" Berg

Nicholas "Nick" O. Berg, age 59, passed away at his home on Wednesday, December 29, 2021. He was born on July 22, 1962, the son of Gerald and Mildred (Kelpinski) Berg. Nick enjoyed listening to music, seeing bands, playing keyboard and drums, and attending car races and the county fair. He took care of his mother and father as they aged, as well as his dogs. Nicholas liked the San Diego Chargers, flowers, and traveling on family trips. He was a member of St. Edward Catholic Parish, Mackville, trusted in God, and was secure in his faith. Nick loved the color yellow, and writing poetry. He even published 3 poetry books.
Nicholas is survived by 8 siblings: Mary (Lawrence) Fenske, Eugene Berg, Emmett (Janet) Berg, Rita (Dan) Kringel, Rose (Dwight) Wickesberg, Aggie (Joe) Reis, Tom (Faye) Berg, and Bernadette (Robert) Peterson; many nieces and nephews; aunts and uncles; and other relatives and friends.
Nicholas was preceded in death by his parents; a sister-in-law: Hattie Berg; and a niece: Sheena Berg.
The Mass of Christian Burial for Nicholas will be held at 11:00 am, on Saturday, January 8, 2022, at St. Edward Catholic Church, N2926 State Highway 47, Appleton. Visitation will be on Saturday at the church from 9:00 am until the time of the Mass. Interment will be in the parish cemetery. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund will be established.
