Nicholas Clements Obituary
Obituary published on Legacy.com by Circle of Life Funeral Home on Sep. 25, 2024.
Nicholas Jude Clements was born on Christmas day 1958. Nick passed away suddenly on August 12, 2024. He is survived by his companion and loving wife Linda (Nee Alfonsi) of 44 years, being joined together by a lasting love of a lifetime on September 20, 1980. He is survived by his caring and adoring daughter Melissa Jean (always daddy's little girl) and her fiance Anthony Pangano. Nick "Pop-Pop" also had a special bond with his favorite grandson Craig. Also his cherished number one son Nicky who passed away six months before his dad and are our angels in heaven.
Nick was a long time worker since the age of 17 at SAR Hydraulic Lift Co. Later on, Nick went into business with his friend Danny (Danic Hydraulics), then after about ten years, Nick started his own business naming it NJC Hydraulics. He was successful in all his endeavors. Everyone who met him through his business admired him. Nick had the ability to be able to speak to anyone and was able to be liked by someone right away. Nick worked part time these past few years at Apollo Auto Sales and although years of jackhammering and digging ditches took a toll on his body, he always said that he loved to work. He always loved performing physical labor, and he said it did his mind and body good. He took pride in everything he did and wanted nothing but to be appreciated. Nick was a very honest man, devoted to his family. He was very proud and never selfish.
He has had many people enter and leave his life over the years and has lost many friends and loved ones at a young age and until recently with the loss of his son, "Nicky Nick". He had so many friends throughout his life it really was an honor for most to have known him and even if he didn't see them for years he never forgot any of them in all the stories he told (sometimes more than five times) over and over. Believe me, he remembered each and every one of you with love and cherished memories (B, P, D, N, T, T, B, C, T, M, W, H, B, J, R, W, & J), and all the others along with Father Jack who served as a mentor to Nick who he learned so much from about the game of basketball while he attended St. Rose of Lima in Haddon Heights, NJ.
By age 20, Nick was involved in more adventures than most of us are in our whole lifetimes! These adventures (misadventures)? included hitchhiking to Goshen Pond, numerous trips to the Kentucky Derby, and hanging out with his friends. Nick always loved music especially listening to Bruce Springsteen and The Rolling Stones. He also enjoyed playing their music on his guitar and serenading Linda and the family with the latest songs he learned.
Although Nick was a "football and basketball guy", he became a "baseball guy" when he realized how much his son loved baseball. In typical fashion, Nick learned as much as he could about baseball and ended up coaching Nicholas from T-ball all the way up until Nicholas started high school. It brought them closer and they became best friends in everything they did: horseracing, golf, football, fishing, and baseball.
Nick was a wonderful godfather to Jason, Evan, Derek, Kevin, and Amanda.
Nick is survived by his devoted and loving brother Casey (Linda), his sisters Franny and Kim, his in laws and many nieces and nephews and their children. Nick was predeceased by his mother Frances, his wonderful Nana Weatherby, and his brother Chris (Fatima). Family meant everything to Nick. He loved and would do anything for any family member. He enjoyed family gatherings and talking to everyone whenever he had a chance. People seemed to gravitate to Nick and his friendly and witty personality.
A celebration of the lives of both Nick and Nicholas's is planned for Friday, August 23, 2024 at the Glendora Vol. Fire Co. on Black Horse Pike in Glendora, NJ from 5:00-9:00 PM.
All family and many many life long friends (you know who you are) of both Nick and Nicholas are welcome to celebrate the love and happiness you brought to each others lives over the years by sharing many memories (you all have them). Please join Linda and her family in a special memorial blessing and celebration!
Don't remember me with sadness,
Don't remember me with tears,

My Love- you are and will forever be my one and only true love until we're in each others arms again for eternity; we were blessed with 44 years of an undying true love!
